Jeani Elbaum creates imagery based on sociological themes often pertaining to womanhood, family, and interpersonal relationships. She works in a variety of photographic media, including traditional black and white and color and alternative processes. She has exhibited her work in various galleries in the Atlanta area and has had her work published in Creative Quarterly and the GSU Review. She has received a number of awards including the Juror’s Award in the exhibition Pan terminus, which was juried by Julian Cox, Founding Curator of Photography for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF) and Chief Curator of the de Young Museum. She graduated from the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design at Georgia State University in May 2008 with a BFA in Photography and a BA in Art History.
